The Game Horse Association of New Jersey was

established in 1976 by a few friends who wanted

to enjoy their horses and promote

horsemanship, competition & fun. We run

gymkhana events (or games), using an electric

timer for fairness to all riders. In the beginning

there were only a handful of riders holding

shows in their backyards. Today, although still

in a backyard, there are 3 divisions and an

average of 65-70 riders per week and some of

our Seniors started with us as lead-lined ponies!

We still hold those early values dear, especially

the FUN. We also promote family, comradery,

sportsmanship & teamwork.  Spectating is

FREE and we provide a concession stand &

private bathroom for your convenience.

We begin our season on the 1st Sunday in April,

switch to Saturday nights the week after

Father's Day weekend, then back to Sundays

about the 2nd week of September. The Sunday

shows begin at 10:00 am sharp and the Saturday

night shows at 5:30 pm sharp. We end our season the

2nd Sunday in October.
